A GB*hr is a unit of storage that expresses a time-based view of data. It not only captures the size of the data being stored, but also how long that data is stored. 1 GB*hr is equivalent to storing 1 GB of data for 1 hr.
Since a GB*hr is the product of the data element size times the storage duration, 1GB*hr of usage could also result from storing 0.5GB of data for 2 hrs.
