Amazon E-Commerce Service (formerly AWS 4.0/3.0)

Download the WSDL

To familiarize yourself with the Amazon E-Commerce Service (ECS), we encourage you to download and experiment with our sample applications. To run these samples, you will need to create an account as an Amazon Web Services Developer.  To get started with each of the downloads, unzip the file you download and read the file called README.txt.

Perl Pricing Tool Sample: Perl, command-line application that accepts an ASIN and uses the ECS 4.0 ItemLookup operation to retrieve all the current prices for that item on Amazon.  Demonstrates how to make a REST request and process the result. (download size: 5 KB)

Perl ItemSearch SOAP Sample: Perl, command-line application that uses the ECS 4.0 ItemSearch operation to retrieve Amazon books that match specific keywords.  Demonstrates how to make a SOAP request and process the results. (download size: 3 KB)

Perl ItemSearch REST Sample: Perl, command-line application that uses the ECS 4.0 ItemSearch operation to retrieve Amazon books that match specific keywords.  Demonstrates how to make a REST request and process the results. (download size: 2 KB)

To familiarize yourself with the Amazon Simple Queue Service, we encourage you to download and experiment with our sample applications. .NET Sample: This application uses C# and .NET to provide a user interface that can be used to exercise all of the Amazon Simple Queue Service functionality. (download size: 231 KB)

XSLT Sample: This sample demonstrates the use of REST calls with XSLT transforms. It uses the Amazon Simple Queue Service and Amazon E-Commerce Service in combination with each other to easily power a "special promotions" iFrame on your Web site.
